Between two Khan’s of bollywood Amir and Shahrukh there is lot to rave about yet they are two actors who characterize uniqueness with distinct acting patterns. While Aamir is more accomplished ,Shahrukh is natural. While Aamir radiates a quiet charm,Shahrukh revels in street smartness. While Aamir has understood the medium, the medium has yet to understand Shahrukh. While Aamir keeps to himself, Shahrukh is seldom non – vocal. While Aamir believes film making is a science which is governed by certain rules, Shahrukh tends to portray it as more artistic. While Aamir is a product of the mind,Shah rukh is a product of the heart. Both though have a common soul.
While Aamir would have all the navigation instruments required to pursue a voyage on the sea of success, Shahrukh would look for the skies and the birds to find his way. If both were marooned on an island,it is highly probable that both would find their ways in their own way. Two diametrically opposite personalities, but who have achieved similar success. They are more united in their success and failures than in their journey towards stardom. They are constantly seeking to change taking a cue from the Mahatma’s words ‘be the change you want‘ and in their pursuit have found a never ending love and passion for cinema. They are both products of the year 1965 and at 42 are certainly not riding into the sunset yet. Go for Lagaan or Om Shanti Om if you want pristine entertainment or opt for Chak De or Taare Zameen Par if you want to warm up your souls. Virtually nothing to ignore between the two. Silver screen needs both, We need both.
